Kansas City Zoo

Kansas City Royals

Kauffman Stadium is ‘home base’ for the Major League Baseball team, the Kansas City Royals. Located on the east side of the city, the stadium plays host to homes games starting in early April and going deep into the fall season. Whether the Royals win or not, taking in a baseball game with the family is a great time fueled by stadium snacks. There are always events focused on engaging the youngsters too!

Starlight Theater

Nestled next to the zoo, Starlight Theater is an open-air venue in Swope Park. There is seating for roughly 8,000 patrons who take in premier performances from top bands, broadway musicals, and theatrical productions. Acts vary from Disney productions to hard rock bands, though one thing is sure – you’re going to have a great time!

Zip KC

For the more adventurous spirits, you may want to check out Kansas City’s top zip lining park, Zip KC. Just a few miles west of Overland Park, Zip KC is a 143-acre park with 9 zip lines. It’s geared toward the adrenaline junkie with adventures ranging from 1.5 to 3 hours in length. You won’t be able to get over the breathtaking and surreal views from high up in the trees. City Market

Nearly 600,000 visitors attend City Market on an annual basis. This is the largest farmer’s market in the area with 140 vendors on site. It’s been in operation since 1857 and features fresh produce, meats, baking, flowers, and authentic ethnic foods from across the world. When you’re tired of shopping, check out the Arabia Steamboat Museum, housing the largest WWI artifact display in the US.
