The All-New 2019 Toyota RAV4 is Coming!

If you were keeping tabs on the New York International Auto Show, you’d have seen the fanfare. Perhaps the most notable car show in North America, it’s a hot spot for prototypes, concepts, and new car releases. At the 2018 New York International Auto Show, there was one very special vehicle on display: an all-new 2019 Toyota RAV4.

It’s the fifth generation of the vehicle that essentially started the small SUV market. And if you thought the previous generations were awesome, you’re going to LOVE the 2019 Toyota RAV4.

What the 2019 Toyota RAV4 is All About

The Path Less Taken

The wheelbase is slightly longer without increasing the overall length, meaning overhangs are shorter. Nearly a half-inch wider, the 2019 Toyota RAV4 is improved in on- and off-road stability.

This RAV4 generation is more inclined to hit the dirt with true off-road capabilities thanks to available Multi-Terrain Select and a Toyota-First, available Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive with Rear Driveline Disconnect.

High Tech

Its technology moves forward in leaps and bounds too. You can choose a well-equipped entry model like previously, or you can get one with the best equipment in its class. Options include a Digital Display Rearview Mirror, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a panoramic moonroof to start. Entune 3.0 is also available, featuring integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, and a Verizon Wi-Fi hotspot.

More Driver Assists

With the 2019 Toyota RAV4, optional Toyota Safety Sense packages are well-known. But there are two new additions: Lane Tracing Assist and Road Sign Assist. With the new RAV4, you’ll be able to stay even safer on the roads.

The Power to Perform

Two powertrains are offered, like before, but better. A Dynamic Force 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic transmission powers all gas models. Or, for the highest efficiency, choose the 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid with a Dynamic Force 2.5-liter four-cylinder Toyota Hybrid System II (THS II) engine with Electronically-Controlled Continuously-Variable Transmission (ECVT).

Needless to say, you can expect fuel efficiency at the top of its class.
