It’s an achievement to be proud of. The title of World’s Greenest Automaker, as given by Newsweek, is a ranking of global industries including automotive determined by eight metrics including energy, water and waste levels.

Newsweek takes into consideration all publicly-traded companies and ranks them. In the top 500 companies, Toyota places in the number 16 position. In the automotive segment, it’s the top honor for Toyota.
